The Beginning
Lewis Hamilton is one of the world's best known and most successful race car drivers. He's best known for his achievements in Formula 1, which is the highest level of racing in the world. Many records have been broken by Hamilton, who is known for his speed, skill, and drive. He is an inspiration on and off the racetrack. He not only fights for equality, variety, and environmental change, but he also speaks out strongly for them.
Early Life
Born on January 7, 1985, Stevenage, England, he was very interested in sports from a very young age. He went to a Catholic high school in Stevenage called The John Henry Newman School. Besides going to school, he played football and softball, but he had always loved racing. From the time he was 8 years old until he was 10, he had already won his first title. He told Ron Dennis, the boss of the McLaren Formula 1 team, that he wanted to drive for McLaren one day when he was that age. Dennis was pleased by Lewis's confidence, and just three years later, Lewis was hired by McLaren to work on his driving skills.
Career
Lewis Hamilton got his start in professional racing in karts and quickly moved up through the ranks of youth racing. His big moment was when he raced in Formula 1 for the first time with McLaren in 2007. He shocked everyone in the racing world in his first season when he came in just one point behind the winner and almost won the title. Hamilton made history in 2008 when, at only 23 years old, he became the youngest Formula 1 World Champion ever. He made a big move to the Mercedes team in 2013. A lot of people didn't believe in his choice, but it changed everything. Once Hamilton joined Mercedes in 2014, he took over the sport and won multiple titles and set new records every year.

He has won seven World Championships, which is the same number of titles as Michael Schumacher. More than 100 wins, the most of any driver. More than 100 pole places, which are the first spots on the grid. He has won races every season he has been in, which is a huge testament to his steadiness.
