Every Indian cricket fan is proud to know the name Kapil Dev. The man is not just a cricket player, but a well known legend. It was only because of Kapil Dev that India achieved its first major global victory in cricket when they won the 1983 Cricket World Cup. He was known for his all-around skill and leadership. Because he didn't back down from a fight, he became one of the most respected athletes in the country.

Early Years and School

His birthday is January 6, 1959, and he was born in Chandigarh, Punjab. While Pakistan was being split up, his family moved from there. Kapil has loved sports, especially cricket, since he was a child. While he was at DAV School, people began to notice how good he was at cricket. Even though he wasn't from a cricketing family, his drive and hard work made all the difference.

Career at Home

Kapi's first cricket was playing for Haryana in the Indian Premier League. He showed right away that he could bowl quickly and hit big balls with the bat. International Career

He also wrote a few books about his life and his time playing cricket. A movie called "83" was made about India's World Cup win in 2019.
